My Three Favorite Baby Goats

Zephyr was my favorite baby goat in 2011 because she was the youngest.  I also liked her the best because her ears were a little bent, which made her look very cute.

When Zephyr was about two months old I shook her hoof. About a month after that, she put her hoof on my leg and started shaking it. So I grabbed it! Guess what? I did not have to shake my hand. Zephyr shook her hoof all by herself. It was so cool that I had taught a goat to shake hands.

Carina  was my favorite baby goat in 2012, Because she was so tiny.

When Carina was born, she weighed about three pounds. Because she was so tiny, she needed extra care or she might have died. I had to bring her inside the house and  feed her in there. Because she was so tiny the other baby goats would not let her eat with them.  Carina and I would run across the porch to get to the house. When she ran, her two front legs would cross over each other. That was so cute, and it made me  happy that she had lived. Carina is now almost two years old.

Bathsheba  is my favorite baby goat of 2013,because she is the youngest baby goat, and because she is a sundgau.

In our woods, we have a big pile of sticks and Bathsheba will climb on them. She thinks she is the queen. She will push any baby goat right off the pile to prove it.  That’s pretty cool. Bathsheba is getting bred this year.

Zephyr, Carina, and Bathsheba each have different personalities, but I love them all the same.  You can see all the goats at goatmilkstuff.com

  1. Beautiful all of them. I also think it is so cool that you taught a goat tricks. I think the more you do with any animal they understand and can learn. Some just take longer than others.

  2. Your descriptions of your favorite goats enabled me to see them through your eyes. Great job!
